History of Karori Childcare Centre (KCC)
Karori Childcare Centre (KCC) was set up in 1987 as a non-profit
parent co-operative.
Our aim is to provide high quality care and education for children
from 9 months to school age. The original centre was behind the
Mobil petrol station on Karori Road. We had to find new premises
in 2004 because of the 'Heart of Karori' redevelopment. In May
2004 we moved to our new purpose built centre at 47 Beauchamp
Street.
The new premises are leased from the Wellington City Council
for the next 10 years with the right of renewal for a further
10 years. Here is a photo of the old centre which has since been
removed.
